Trivium - Kings of Metal

Venue: house of blues Boston. In a fun areas with plenty of Bars, restaurants and things to do before and after your concert. Parking can be a bit off a hassle, virtually no street parking, the recommended lansdown and Ipswich garages nearby fill up quick. However you can find small open parking areas (for cheaper, we paid 20 bucks for the whole night). Inside HOB there is a coat check And restrooms. Then I’m through the double doors it’s the music hall with bars on each side and merch on either side for bands. The standing room is the best experience (at least for a Trivium concert!) there are 2 tiers of balcony seating/standing. Fairly small venue but was packed by the time Trivium came on. Concert: Trivium had three opening bands, including white chapel. Each has their own style. When Trivium came out the energy just sky rocketed. There was a constant circle pit and people crowd surfed a lot. Trivium kept up a constant vibe and tempo that made their set sail by. Each member is a showman and they know how to get the most out of a crowd. They also kept it real with Matt Heafy mentioning his family, shouting out people and encouraging everyone to look out for each other in the pit and surfing. It was My first heavy metal and Trivium concert and off do it again in a heartbeat. I had only discovered their music about a year ago. They are amazing. Staff at HOB was great, catching the crowd surfers, handing out water bottles (for free) to the crowd, they did a great job.
